Wichita's current college attainment rate is 27.9%. If this rate were to increase by 1% point, or 3,839 additional graduates per year, this increase would bring an additional $460 million to the local economy.

Visioneering Wichita's College Mecca Alliance has launched an initiative called "Achieve Kansas," a public-outreach campaign involving the region's universities, colleges and technical institutes with training programs, non-profits, the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas, and many local businesses.
